The Film Commission Zurich's incentive program provides financial support to selected audiovisual productions that shoot in Zurich and generate added value here. The offer is aimed at projects with professional implementation and international appeal.
Our offer is open to international productions and minority co-productions with Swiss participation. Support is given to projects that use Zurich as a filming location, contribute to the visibility of the region and strengthening of the local film industry.
In addition to the production incentive, the Film Commission Zurich offers a location scouting incentive for all productions. This provides support in finding suitable filming locations, conducting on-site assessments, and preparing for filming in Zurich.
Production Incentive
We support selected film projects in the Zurich area with an attractive production incentive. The support amount can be applied for the production of feature films, series, documentaries, TV shows, and animations that are released in cinemas, on TV, and/or on video on demand.
Location Scouting Incentive
Accompanied by an experienced location scout, we cover part of the costs for preparation, transportation to selected locations in the Zurich area, and accommodation for the scouting crew. We support both the scout and the production company throughout the entire process.
Our production incentive is aimed at selected international and minority co-produced film projects that are to be shot in the Zurich area.
The support amount can be applied for the production of feature films, series, documentaries, TV shows, and animations that are released in cinemas, on TV, and/or on video on demand. The decisive factor is the international nature of the project—both in terms of distribution and in terms of cast and crew. Under requirements , you can see which additional criteria must be met and which documents must be enclosed with the application.

Up to CHF 30,000 can be allocated per project.

The support amount can be applied for the production of feature films, series, documentaries, and animations for distribution in cinemas, on TV, and/or via video on demand, as well as for advertising productions. The decisive factors are the international nature of the project and the economic impact generated in Zurich, in particular through the involvement of local service providers and skilled workers.
Location Scouting Offer
The location scouting budget for Swiss productions for 2026 is currently exhausted. International productions can continue to submit applications.
Up to CHF 6,000 per project can be covered for location scouting costs.
